Playa D'en Bossa and
Ibiza Town

Playa d'en Bossa is the main hotel location on the island, many fronting
onto the beach. It is the home of the sports complex Fiestaland, the water
park Aguamar and the daytime club Space. The main road to the rear of the
2 km beach is full of bars and restaurants and there is normally also a
fairground.
It has the advantage of being close to Ibiza Town for the nightlife and
shops but the disadvantage of being under the main flightpath for the
airport so aircraft noise can be a problem. Having said that, I have stayed
in one of these hotels and experienced no problems.
Ibiza Town is renown for its nightlife and lifestyles and at least one visit
after 11.00pm is essential.
Daytime visits, I would advise are best restricted to the mornings as it can
get extremely hot in the narrow roads and alleyways. Try to make it to the
top to see the cathedral and old fortress walls and the views are
tremendous.
Always look out for fiesta days as the firework displays are excellent.
