Restaurante Es Caliu - aprox half way between Ibiza Town and San Joan - just give the name to a taxi driver open lunchtimes (not July or August) and evenings 8.00 'til late

Visit my favourite restaurant on the main Ibiza - San Joan road. On a warm summer evening sit in the garden under the orange, lemon and lime trees and enjoy a fabulous meal and be well looked after by the excellent staff. Sample menu items I enjoyed after the excellent toasted bread and aioly include starters of salad, or melon with serrano ham, or avocado with prawns. A main course of shoulder of lamb, or the best fillet steaks I have ever eaten, or rabbit, or baby goat, or suckling pig, or roast ox still cooking on the stone platters!!!!! All washed down of course by a good Rioja and finish with a local pudding - for me, bliss.
